For this job a 5ft tall 11ft wide (fully filled) 175ft long double closed end (DCE) AquaDam was used. Here for this project there was no starting bank that was greater than the maximum height of the AquaDam along it's given path, so a DCE AquaDam was needed.
The final turn is being made and now the AquaDam can be unrolled back towards the ending bank.
The AquaDam is being filled in place. The four (4) workers are standing on the inner perimeter to help keep the AquaDam in place until the unit has enough head above the water to stay in place on it's own.
This is the starting point of a DCE AquaDam. This unit is being filled by pumps using the lake water.
Here is a photo showing the ending point of the AquaDam. AquaDam's come rolled up similar to a carpet roll.
This AquaDam almost has enough head to be able to maintain it's own position.
The AquaDam finally has enough head to be able to maintain it's position. This AquaDam still has about 2ft to rise above the surrounding water before turning off the pumps filling the unit.
