- Pond Dewatering
SE Texas (2007)
This project was undertaken to dewater a working pond, one side at a time. Once
the toxic sediment was removed from one side a new liner was to be installed.
Then the AquaDams® would be removed and reinstalled on top of the liner so that the other side could
be dewatered and its toxic sediment removed. We installed an 8' x 175' AquaDam® with a collar attached
to a 8' x 54' AquaDam®.
At the end of the project there will be a seam in the middle. If the client
does not wish to remove and relocate the AquaDams®, then the two halves of the
new pond liner can be seamed on top of the AquaDams®. Then they can deflate the
AquaDams® to allow the two halves of the pond to be one.
The AquaDams® do not need to be removed. This project contractor is
URS, the largest engineering company in the United States.
