- River Dewatering
Milk River, Alberta Canada (2007)
This project was undertaken to dewater a bank on the Milk River in Alberta, Canada. The Milk River
is the only river that starts in the U.S., flows into Canada, and then flows back into the U.S.
During the first stage we installed three 4' x 100' long AquaDams®.
The ice had to be broken up and removed in order to install the AquaDams®. The
contractor intended to complete the work on the bank and then move the AquaDams®
down the river and re-use them.
The problem was that by the time the work was
completed, the AquaDams® were frozen and trying to move them would destroy them.
So a week later, another round of AquaDams® were installed.
