- Sewer Treatment Pond Dewatering
Blue Lake, CA (2007)
The purpose of this project was to install a pipe to connect two ponds via a plastic pipe.
These AquaDams®, one 8' x 120' and one 8' x 150' Baffled unit, were supposed
to have been installed in a U-shape configuration.
However the banks were so steep in this sewage pond that the AquaDams® would
not climb the banks and kept sliding off. On the fifth try, the AquaDam® installation
team sewed the ends of the AquaDam® together so they would not pull apart.
Later, this same dam was floated to the far end of the pond and reinstalled
for the second phase of the project.
